Keith and Strathisla Regeneration Partnership (InKeith) are currently exploring the possibility of setting up a Development Trust for Keith and Strathisla and we are inviting anyone with a keen interest in Keith and Strathisla to be part of it!
What is a Development trust and why it would benefit Keith & Strathisla
“A development trust is a community-owned and led organisation, working to combine community-led action with an enterprising approach to address and tackle local needs and issues. The aim of a development trust is to create social, economic and environmental renewal in a defined geographical area, creating wealth within that area and keeping it there.”

The potential benefits to Keith & Strathisla having a Development Trust?
- owned and managed by the local community.
- able to employ a Development Officer for the town.
- able to generate income through enterprise and ownership of assets and re-invest trading surpluses in the community.
- help ensure a joined-up approach to activities and projects and maximises volunteers’ contribution by reducing duplication.
- provide a focus for us to work together to address issues of concern within our community.
