InKeith & Strathisla welcomes Bryon Beck as new Local Community Development Officer. Bryony started on Monday 12th June and will be based out of the meeting room at Longmore Community Hall. She has a background in community development, active travel and tourism. The new role of Local Community Development Officer has been funded by the Moray Beatrice Local Fund and it is a full time post, fixed term for two years. The role will comprise of delivering InKeith & Strathisla’s (KSRP) strategic objectives, supporting the community, and delivering a wide range of projects including frontline work with other organisations within the community. Bryon will also be developing a community action plan to support development for Keith and Strathisla
Rhona Patterson, Chairman of InKeith & Strathisla (KSRP) said “I am delighted to welcome Bryony to her new role in our community. I have to thank the Beatrice Moray Local Fund for having faith in us and supporting our application. Having Bryony working in Keith and Strathisla will hugely benefit the whole community. “Keith and Strathisla Regeneration Partnership or InKeith, as everyone recognises, has been working to support the community for many years. The website and Facebook is for everyone to use and helps promote everything that is happening locally. The empty shops project, in collaboration with the primary schools, the flags, the words in the windaes, leaflets including walks, public toilets and the pop-up shop are just some of the projects we organise. With Bryony on board, we can only go from strength to strength.
