The Planning and Regulatory Services Committee of the Moray Council approved the Draft Keith Town Centre Improvement Plan at its meeting today for public consultation and we would welcome your views on it.
The draft Keith Town Centre Improvement Plan sets out proposals to support the regeneration of the town centre and sets out a range of proposals to help achieve this such as bringing vacant and derelict sites back into use, improving walking and cycling routes and connections, greening and other streetscape improvements. The aim is to support a vibrant, attractive, green, healthy, safe and inclusive town centre.
An electronic storymap setting out the proposals for Keith town centre is available to view on the Councils website at www.moray.gov.uk/towncentreimprovementplans. As you will appreciate this is mainly a virtual consultation however 1-2-1 sessions with a member of staff from the Councils Strategic Planning & Development Team are available to discuss the proposals. If you wish to speak with an officer, please email localdevelopmentplan@moray.gov.uk to arrange a suitable day and time.
Your feedback and comments are very much welcomed and we encourage you to circulate this email within your groups and organisations as the Council is keen to hear from as wide a range of stakeholders as possible.
The deadline for submissions is 5 pm on Monday 14 March 2022 preferably using the online form accessed from www.moray.gov.uk/towncentreimprovementplans. Alternatively, please email your comments/ideas to localdevelopmentplan@moray.gov.uk or submit them in writing to Moray Council, Strategic Planning & Development, Room 221a, Council Headquarters, High Street, Elgin, IV30 9BX.
