Following on from our post/article on 29th January 2018 Susan Shand has now completed her Zipslide Zinger. She took part in this so that she could raise much needed funds for the MS Society Moray Group. In completing the Zipslide Zinger she raised £808 as well as having an amazing time. Susan said “I have done it, it was amazing and I will most definitely be looking to do something equally terrifying in the future! As a regular wheelchair user, it gave me such a sense of liberation. Everyone involved in organising the day and making it accessible to everyone should be extremely proud of themselves!”

Not only has Susan raised much needed funds for the MS Society Moray Group, she has also been instrumental in setting up a new fundraising group in association with the MS Society Scotland. This group is called Keepsmyelin MS and aims to raise more money that will be used for MS research projects.

They have already organised their first fundraiser which is an Autumn Fair. This will take place on 22nd September 2018 between 10am and 12pm and will be held at the North Church Hall in Keith. This looks set to be a great morning for both adults and children and will include a raffle with big prizes (tickets now on sale via the Facebook event page or directly from Susan Shand, Joanne Addison, Sheila Fettes, Chris Milner or Hugh and Frances McHardy. They should also be available to purchase in shops in the near future but keep an eye on Facebook for more information), stalls, teas and coffees, pancakes, music and entertainment.
