In addition to supporting The Children’s Heart Foundation and JDRF (type 1 diabetes charity), Keith Builders Merchants also operate the Keith Builders Community Charity Fund which supports the local community and local charities.
The Keith Builders Community Charity Fund was set up in May 2012 and is there to help local charities, groups, organisations and projects such as youth organisations, supporting older people or people with disabilities, school and nursery groups, and community projects. Initially, the charity started helping Keith based applicants only, but this was extended to Turriff, Oldmeldrum, Inverurie and surrounding area, as well as the Forres Community Charity Fund being set up through their Forres depot.
Each month Keith depot applications are assessed and one charity or organisation is selected to receive the £250 donation. Applications to the Forres depot are assessed seperately and given another donation. To date Keith Builders Merchants have donated £15,000 to local charities.
If you think your organisation or project could benefit from this donation and you provide something to the wider community then please send your application to email@example.com with a brief synopsis of your group including what you do, who you help and how you would use the £250 if you were successful. The successful applicant/s will be announced in the local press.
If you are unsuccessful you don’t need to re-apply as your application will be kept on file and will be considered again in the following months. If you are successful in your application you can apply again, but you will have to wait 12 months before doing so.
