Locally known as ‘The Ploo’, this sociable, community pub has, for many years, attracted a very varied regular clientele. People from all ages and backgrounds return time and time again to enjoy the local banter and the sport (showing live games including Staurdays at 3pm), music and karaoke which ‘The Ploo’ provides.
It is distinguished by its black and white paintwork outside near the top of Mid Street on the right hand side. Inside you can play pool and darts whilst enjoying your pint and listening to the juke box.
The Ploo was taken over in Feb 2006 by Tommy and Michelle Smith and Brenda Minty. It is one of the key venues for the Keith Folk Festival held annually in June. There is a lounge available for functions etc seating 60 – 80 and it can be booked by contacting the Ploo.
Live music most weekends. Bar snacks available.
