Success for Friendly Fest

New music festival, Friendly Fest, took place on Saturday 5th May at Kynoch Park, and was undoubtedly a success. Better weather could not have been asked for, the whole event went off without a hitch and the atmosphere was brilliant with many happy faced music lovers to be seen.

The festival, which was created by Russell Aitchison of Digital Love Events and Andy Troup, Keith FC Chairman, featured Mikey MacLennan, Gordon James & The Power, Sons O’ The Soil, Frosted Vault, Sub Zero, The Complete Stone Roses, Sean Gordon, Chris Helme (Seahorses), Tommy Scott (Space Frontman) and Rick Witter (Shed 7 DJ Set), all of which were greatly received by the audience especially The Complete Stone Roses and Rick Witter.

As well as the musical line up a wide range of beverages were available, including a Gin bar and draft beer. In addition Fish ‘n’ Chips 2 Go were serving a huge range of hot foods and A & Z Delicious Donuts were also there to provide a sweet treat.

As the event was such a success it will run again next year. The organisers will meet to assess the event and discuss how to make the event even bigger and better next year, so keep an eye out on the Friendly Fest Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/friendlyfest/, to keep up to date on next years festival.
