It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Keith!

Saturday started with a successful fundraising ‘Crafty Coffee Morning’ held in the North Church Hall by Keith Parish Church where there were crafty stalls to purchase presents and wares and a chance for a good festive blether with friends over a cuppa and cake.

This was followed by the increasingly popular Keith Community Council annual Christmas Extravaganza, held once again in the Longmore Halls. Many stalls and raffles were available to suit everyone’s taste and a chance for the children to meet Santa and his little helpers in his grotto.

Keith and District Silver Band, Strathspey Fiddlers and performances from the Jessiman Dance School throughout the afternoon was very much appreciated by all who entered the main hall for teas provided by volunteers for Keith Sunshine Developmental Playgroup.

Keith Christmas Lights were switched on later and showed that the spectacular display has been improved once again this year. The committee have managed to complete the mile long stretch of the A96 which goes through the town and are now much closer to achieving their goal of linking the lights of Keith and Fife – Keith together.
