Welcome to inkeith.com

The Moray town of Keith is undergoing a significant spend to help regenerate and restore its town centre.  We are also looking to support the growth of investment and development in the area and are encouraging businesses and people to consider making Keith – Strathisla their home.

Keith has become a centre for arts and culture, being the first place in Scotland to be bestowed the title ‘Scots Toun’ and with an annual Traditional Music and Song Association Festival which celebrated its 42nd year this year (2017).

A long established whisky town, it has also added beer brewing to its mix of industries, which includes farming, engineering and retail. There’s a great range of independent shops available, with butchers, bakers, a deli, ladies fashions, pharmacies, newsagents, furniture, flooring, framing, electrical, arts and crafts with much more in the mix.

Our website has been developed to give a flavour of what this great part of North -East Scotland has to offer – an abundance of community spirit, low crime rates, excellent value properties, easy access to coast and countryside and swift connections to the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness.

Find out why our friendly town offers the perfect package for everyone – for investment, for living, for leisure and recreation…….for life.

Pop Up Shop produces five permanent shops

The ‘infamous’ Pop Up Shop has been a huge success over the years and has seen five new shops open following their use of the shop.  However, due to the current premises on Mid Street being acquired by another organisation we are unfortunately unable to provide this opportunity at the present time.

The Pop Up Shop was originally set up through the Keith CARS scheme to help promote local businesses and organisations with a view that they would set up shops on Mid Street, Keith and the surrounding area.  KSRP (Keith and Strathisla Regeneration Partnership) continued with the shop until recently when the shop was taken over by another organisation.  KSRP are hopeful that they will be able to acquire further premises in the future so that this valuable asset can return and allow businesses, organisations and local people to have the opportunity to sell locally with the prospect of opening their own business on a more permanent basis in the area should they wish, as well as being able to raise awareness of their products and services.

***If you would like to add your details to our Pop Up Shop database and be notified should we acquire new premises then please email us at mail@inkeith.com***

Ad-ded interest

A specially commissioned television ad, which was produced in 2014 and advertised on STV, was designed to raise the profile of the town to attract visitors, day trippers and investors. The ad which features a wide variety of images gives a flavour of the area, with strong use of the In Keith logo, and can be viewed here.
